Sound Stylists was founded in 1987 by owner Kevin Glover, and since that time we have grown into leaders in the field of professional sound equipment rental.

Since the early days of the company, Sound Stylists has gained a reputation for outstanding service, excellent equipment of international specification and the high calibre of our staff. Our long-standing clients are testament to this high standard.

We have a broad spectrum of service - we supply equipment for broadcast, theatre, live events, studio recordings, rock concerts, sport and corporate events. We are able to supply anything from a single microphone up to turnkey solutions for full rock concerts. We have a very large inventory of equipment, ranging from our flagship Nexo Alpha concert rig to small powered monitors. We are constantly expanding our inventory and pride our selves in keeping pace with technology and developing trends. One example of this is our recent investment in two Yamaha PM5D mixing consoles which have already been used on the 46664 Fancourt and M-TV Base Will Smith concerts.

Sound Stylists provides two main areas of service: "dry hire" and production. Our "dry hire" facility supplies equipment to other professionals in the industry for their own use, while our production service provides sound equipment and personnel for events. We are also in a position to arrange total sound, lighting, stage and AV solutions for any event.

Our complete fleet of Mercedes trucks and sprinters allow us to transport our equipment quickly and efficiently around the country and neighbouring states. This fleet is kept in pristine condition and all of our drivers hold public drivers licenses.

We also have in our inventory a mobile sound recording studio, wired for
48 tracks with Fostex and Alessis multi-track hard drive machines. This is popular with record companies and production houses for live tracking. We can also offer the 56 channel Tascam DA98/88/38 Multi Track machines, digitally coupled to Yamaha mixing consoles.

Our sister company, The Red Box Corporation, specialises in AV equipment rental for events and dry hire. Red Box shares Sound Stylists philosophy of excellence, and stocks cutting edge products such as Barco, Christie, Kramer and Folsom.
