Profile:

Onscreen Presentations & Hire was founded in February 2000 after twelve years of service to a highly specialised market in the audio-visual staging, video and photographic fields all of which are an essential part of conference organization. Since then, we have worked extensively in audio-visual productions, as well as slide and video presentations and allied services for a range of clients fromg the medical profession, academic institutions, the corporate field and the public sector, including key government departments.

Our key, fully integrated multimedia services include:

• Hiring and staging of audio-visual equipment etc
• Video productions
• Computerised video editing
• DVD/CD high speed duplication
• Mpeg video creation which can be used in Powerpoint presentations
• Computer generated Powerpoint 35mm slides
• Commercial photography on digital or film formats

Our company has been appointed as a preferred subcontracted service provider by some of South Africa’s leading events management companies for the past five years. Despite fierce competition in the industry, we have consistently delivered high quality, reliable service.

In our ten years of operation we have invested over R3,5m in specialized industry-standard equipment which gives us a competitive edge over other players in the industry. This eliminates the need for outsourcing.

Onscreen Presentations, as a 100% black-owned company, has also developed a social responsibility profile by virtue of its corporate social investment in community projects. These include cultural events, economic empowerment projects and educational institutions. We also provide in-service training for semi-skilled and skilled young sound engineers who seek opportunities for advancement in the industry.

With the advancement of technology and the introduction of the multimedia solutions industry, the business has diversified and grown into a dynamic service that incorporates a variety of skills and services that are usually outsourced by businesses and institutions.

The client base of Onscreen Presentations includes: the The Exel Group, various government departments (such as the Department of the Premier, Transport and Housing), University of Cape Town Conference Department,SALGA(South African Local Government Association), Wecbof, University of the Western Cape (UWC), Boehringer Lung Institute, Red Cross Children’s Hospital, University of Cape Town (UCT) Academics, Equal Opportunity Foundation, Good Hope Meat Wholesalers, the STi Group, Busy Corner Group, Johnson and Johnson SA, BMF (Black Management Forum) and Superior Cabinet Doors.

Event management
We have recently expanded our services to include event management, with the aim of providing our clients with a 360 degree offering that included end to end conference management. To this end, we have recruited Deborah McTeer, one of South Africa’s most experienced Conference Coordinators. Deborah has been in the industry for the past twenty six years and her expertise lie in the conceptualization and coordination of national and international conferences. She has been booked for future conferences extended well into 2011. Deborah’s successes include the XVIIth Congress of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP), which took place in Cape Town in August 2007 and received great local and international acclaim, being billed as the ‘most successful IAAP conference to date.’ She was also the Conference Coordinator for the 1995 and 2002 Infant Mental Health Conferences in Cape Town, which attracted many international speakers and which were hailed as landmark events. Deborah’s extensive experience in organising high-profile national and international conferences means that she is adept at managing complex programmes that include an array of international speakers, multiple languages/translators, all-day/evening activities for a discerning group of delegates, etc. Deborah’s digital experience is also key, and she has found ways to transform dense, complicated paper-based registration forms into efficient, online processes.

Yours faithfully
